Gerard Corley Smith
Gerard Thomas Corley Smith (July 30, 1909 – October 7, 1997), or Corley as he was known, is remembered chiefly for his work in protecting the unique environment of the Galápagos Islands and his support for the Charles Darwin Foundation, established in 1959.
