Joe M. Nishimoto
Private First Class Joe M. Nishimoto was a member of the highly decorated 442nd Regimental Combat Team which served in the European theater during World War II. Nishimoto, who had been interned at the Jerome War Relocation Center in Arkansas, posthumously received the Medal of Honor, the highest military honor in the United States, in 1998 by President Bill Clinton for his actions on November 7, 1944, near La Houssiere, France.
