Mikhail Artamonov
Mikhail Illarionovich Artamonov (Михаил Илларионович Артамонов; in the village of Vygolovo, Tver guberniya, now Tver Oblast - July 31, 1972 in Leningrad) was a Soviet historian and archaeologist, who came to be recognized as the founding father of modern Khazar studies.
