Nicolas Lucero
Nicolas Lucero was a nineteen-year-old Mexican American soldier from Albuquerque, New Mexico who was awarded the French Croix de Guerre during World War I. He was awarded the medal for destroying two German machine gun emplacements and maintaining a constant fire against enemy positions for over three hours.
