      Hello, I just fount out that my iPhone 7 has this issue. It was working for a while after pressing hard on the chip, etc. but eventually stopped working completely. Short version: Can I replace the chip completely with new one without making my iPhone totally non-functional, or do I have to do thing with jumpers/reballing.

    Doing a search across the internet, it appears that its a common problem/fault. There is even video from engineers indicting that the design of the iphone 7 and iphone 7 plus have a design fault, where the flexing of the phone overtime causes the audio ic chip connectors to break.
