I know that Vonage existed for quite a while starting in the US in 2001 then accepting subscription from Canada in 2004. I might be wrong but i don't think they ever existed as .ca and dedicated to Canada.

There's a page with current prices for "Vonage World" at $29.99, and "Vonage North America" for $26.99, as well as a "US and Canada 400 Calling Plan" for $14.99, so I'm probably on a grandfathered plan. I'd definitely check the terms of their "new customer" pricing to make sure it doesn't go away after a year or something. I live in Colorado.
