Very little guidance. That type of effect is what BotW did, but on a 3d field. With that existing I have little desire to play Zelda 1 again. Now, Zelda 1 did get a reboot in a way with Oracle of Seasons, DX Awakening, and Oracle of Ages. It removed a lot of the go anywhere exploration and fixed it more to the zelda feel we know to day.
