  3. IDP.Generic and FileRepPup [PUP] got blocked by Avast when I tried to open the app and it removes the software icon from the desktop. I uninstalled the software and downloaded it again from the official webpage. ... youtube-dl and the yt-dlp fork are a command-line program to download videos from YouTube.com, as well as many other sites. 4. Generic Download Tool . I recently started using youtube-dl in a docker container, to help reduce load and manual labour on my PC from downloading files locally and then transferring to whatever storage location. It is working great, and I was wondering if there was a more generic tool that I could host on a docker where I could paste in a link ...
  5. Look, in todays day and age there is no "100% safe" software, i dont care how many AV's you used. Each time you install ANYTHING you bite the bullet, both play/app store had malware install on your phones thru official means.
  6. So today, Avast is saying that We've blocked UruLauncher.exe because it was infected with IDP.Generic. " Pretty sure this is false, and the file should be safe, its Uru online launcher that it wants to block, I didn't get this message early today from the app, and I don't think anything changed on my system that should have caused this problem.
  7. That's almost certainly malware. It's an .exe file, so it's a program. It's not a file used to store settings or anything like that. That file appears to be pretending to be Windows' file explorer, but the real one is at C:\Windows\explorer.exe.. If you're still not certain, upload the file to VirusTotal and it'll tell you what a good 60ish antivirus applications think of it.
  8. There is a huge file that i am trying to get but i can;t seems to grab the link from gofile.io or 1fichier. Is there a certain way to do it so the download won;t die on me all of a sudden and i would ave to do it again
  9. sure. you're downloading a video not an executable. it's a hit or miss whether the site is generic enough for the generic extractor to work. if it doesn't work, you'll have to use the browser's dev tools (network tab) to try and find the media playlist for the video and use ethat URL instead. there are also brower addons that can be useful, i.e. the stream detector, video downloadhelper etc.
