  1. In the presence of an orbital magnetic field, the order parameters are gauge invariant, and superconducting vortices are pinned between the stripes. This intertwined Ginzburg-Landau theory is proposed as an effective low-energy description of the stripe fragmented superconductor.

By means of a Hubbard-Stratonovich transformation a statistical Ginzburg-Landau theory is derived, which describes the smooth crossover from a weak-coupling BCS superconductor to a condensate of composite bosons. We show that the Nelson-Kosterlitz jump in the superfluid density vanishes in the BCS limit, where mean-field theory becomes exact.

  6. Feb 12, 2023The Hubbard model is studied in the external magnetic field. The analysis is carried out phenomenologically within the framework of the Ginzburg-Landau theory with the order parameter describing the opposite spin electrons. The study is performed for the nearly half-filled lower Hubbard band in the metallic state. The final equations are the Pauli-like ones for the opposite spins and nonlinear ...
