  5. Seems like whenever there's a question about a good space/sci-fi game, the default response is to recommend Stars without Number. I finally cracked open my copy last night, and first, let me say, it seems like a good, solid system based on OSR rules, but I am struggling to find out the "hook" - or what it is that makes it seem to be the go to system for people looking for a sci fi game.

  8. It's very well supported. the author has released a number of focused, useful expanions for it. One on Naval campaigns, and others on merchant, cyberpunk, Espionage, low/hard sci-fi. its compatible with tools from the authors other games like his post-apocalyptic one, the cthlhu/eldritch horror one, etc.
  9. So I've been trying my best to get a game of Stars Without Number going. I really find that I adore the mechanics and the level of exploration you can do in it. However, I'm finding that story wide, I'm struggling a bit. I tried using the solo adventure handbook for it but I'm just having a hard time. I'm really not entirely sure why.
