  2. But honestly though I preferred George Clanton when he purely instrumental, I think his vocals can be kinda annoying. ... Not my aoty cause it relies a bit too much on the 90's (I've seen people compare it to Moby - Play) and because nothing beats Knower album imo. Reply reply
  3. The new album from Strange Ranger, Pure Music, is great if you're looking for more George Clanton-esque stuff. I also recommend Caroline Loveglow, she's signed to his label and her music kind of picks up where School Of Seven Bells left off. ... On first impressions this might be my AOTY. Well worth the wait after Slide. Reply reply Organic ...
  4. George Clanton - Ooh Rap I Yah Sampha - Lahai Genesis Owusu - Struggler The Scary Jokes - Retinal Bloom Danger Mouse & Jemini The Gifted One - Born Again ... Hard to pick a definitive AOTY, or even a top 5 really, this year had a tonne of great releases. Reply reply
  5. **EDIT 2 : AOTY Reply reply ... This post has been identified as artist 'George Clanton' and track 'Slide'. I've added this track to the following Spotify playlist: r/IndieHeads | Daily hot posts. Which is a playlist dedicated to the latest (first 25) daily hot posts in r/IndieHeads.
  6. This is fr my AOTY so far. So creative and just ridiculously good, if you care for this sound. (for anyone unfamiliar, it's very bubblegum bass/deconstructed club kind of stuff, mixed with a 3oh3 myspace aesthetic, but it's not as trash as that sounds haha. ... 7. This is very possibly my AOTY. Man's got so much creativity and SPACE it's nearly unbelievable. Goooooood shit Reply reply ... Title Track is the kiss of life. I always felt George Clanton was masterful at introductions, and this might be my favorite intro of his. The way the chords hit after the chopped vocals at the beginning is like ...
  8. Second major list I've seen without George Clanton's Ooh Rap I Ya, which surprises me! It was pretty widely listened-to and loved in music circles. ... Completely missing a lot of my personal favorites, including my aoty 3d country, but a lot of records I haven't heard of I'll have to check out. Reply reply ZiggyStarlord69 ...
  9. Both of them are AOTY contenders in my book. I loved Bright Green Field, but I remember wondering where the band would go from there. Would a second album sound like more of the same or could they evolve and develop beyond it? That, to me, would determine whether they would just be a good band or a great band.
  10. This is easily my AOTY. Latch and White Noise are both masterfully produced, in my opinion. What are your thoughts? Advertisement Coins. 0 coins. Premium Powerups Explore Gaming. Valheim Genshin ... [ALBUM DISCUSSION] George Clanton - Ooh Rap I Ya.
  11. Also anyone that likes this album should check out Cold Air by Drowse. They're on The Flenser and it was released this year and it's contending for AOTY imo. Similar vibes, more ethereal. They sound fucking huge live too.
