    What a great find off the beaten track South of Limoges. This pretty little village is worth a detour off the A20 to wander around. Lots of little alleyways to explore then the large Abbey for a short visit.

    Stopping to see this church was definitely worth it - it is reputedly the longest in western France, at 77 meters. But, like many churches in France, there is a need for maintenance and repair, and there are numerous signs in the square just opposite the church identifying what needs to be done to preserve it - it is a daunting list, and it appears to depend to a great extent on donations.
