The Ryzen 7 5800X3D have a "weakness" on memory scaling performance: DDR4/3200 vs DDR4/3800 give just +1% more performance at gaming. Simple Reason: The 3D V-Cache just works. The bigger Level 3 cache reduce the amount of memory accesses, so the memory performance become less important.
This could be down to a load VID core voltage as the 5800X3D is actually clocked lower by 100 MHz at turbo clock speeds. Office In our office benchmark, the newer Ryzen 7 5800X3D performs ...
In Strange Brigade, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D was top when testing with the Vulkan API, but in Direct X 12, the results were reversed, with the V-Cache making no difference in this scenario.
Oct 16, 2024AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D has hit end-of-life, according to a ComputerBase.de report. Introducing the new 3D V-cache technology, the 5800X3D breathed life back into the Socket AM4 platform as Intel debuted its 12th Gen Core "Alder Lake" processors, while there was still some time to go before AMD could mount up a defense with Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4."

Ryzen 7 5700X3D 8-core AM4 CPU with 3D V-Cache - £176.60 - Amazon UK; The AMD 5800X3D is a legendary processor, and its successors remain some of the best gaming CPUs available.
The processor comes with a base frequency of 3.40 GHz, with 4.50 GHz maximum boost frequency compared to the 3.80 GHz base and 4.70 GHz boost frequency (and unlocked multiplier) of the Ryzen 5800X. AMD is pricing the Ryzen 7 5800X3D at $449, which is a rather steep price that places it between the Intel Core i7-12700K and Intel Core i9-12900K.
Currently I have a Ryzen 7 5700G and it's just not keeping up with my 3070ti, I've found that the Ryzen 7 5800X3d is a significant upgrade but I'm unsure if the motherboard will support it. Everywhere I've searched the answers have been unfamiliar and tbh I don't know what I'm doing so help would be greatly appreciated.
