I asked for directions from Chicago to Orlando and it was a 48-page document of directions and maps, with each map having the roads highlighted, just like AAA did when it was printed at their office.

  8. This is a Triptik by AAA from 1978 and was found with other travel items from that time period in an old suitcase. AAA would send out what it called pathfinders to measure roads, pinpoint construction and more. The results were printed on separate cards. First leg from Hollywood, left, and through Arizona, right. The first TripTik was issued in 1937, and by the 1950s, according to AAA, it was one of the organization's most popular guides.
  10. Automobile club of Philadelphia AAA triptik is in real nice condition. There's no ZIP Code on the address so prior to early 1960s and may be as old as the 1940s as there is some numbers on the bottom that say 3-46 or maybe 1946? there's a date on the inside but it's hard to make out. Fun piece of AAA history.
