  4. Really great to see a Tim interview - you really don't see much of this kind of thing as it's usually Nick or PNut. He's such a nice guy. As another poster stated though, the format of watching him banter for most of the hour with 2 middle aged women about binge watching favorite shows and other boring subjects is little tough to get through.
  5. You'll find when you actually meet 311's fans or attend a show, they're one of the most inclusive groups regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. I have never felt anything but love and respect from fellow fans and the band members themselves.

Tim Mahoney has had the kind of career that every aspiring rock guitarist dreams of. As the lead guitarist for the popular rock band 311, Mahoney has no doubt been inspiring fans to pick up the guitar ever since their first album Music came out in 1993. There is no reason to wonder why he is such a popular player with legions of fans, or why he has a signature PRS model either...

After a series of independent releases, 311 was signed to Capricorn Records in 1992 and released the albums Music and Grassroots to moderate success. They achieved greater success with their 1995 triple platinum self-titled album, which reached number 12 on the Billboard 200 on the strength of the singles "Down" and "All Mixed Up", the former of which topped the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks in 1996. The band's next three albums—Transistor, Soundsystem, and From Chaos—were also successful, with the first going platinum and the last two going gold. Wikipedia
