  1. PXL is just a prefix of the file name Google started doing. The file type (after the dot) is the file type (mp4 or jpg). While idk why your W10 is not displaying your files, you can view the file type by enabling "view file type extension" in Windows Explorer, "view" at the top left of the window to ensure they are either a jpg or mp4.
  2. The default format for pictures is "PXL_[date]_[time].jpg, with the date and time not being your local time but Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). So, for example, a photo I took on August 11th 2023 at 7:57 PM local time has this file name: PXL_20230812_005706479.jpg My time is UTC -5 so the time part checks out as 00:57 UTC.
  3. The actual file attributes shows the correct time the photo was taken but the file name is not. For example it's May 25th at 12:24 PM east coast right now. If I snap a photo it calls the file. PXL_20210525_162414309 instead of 12:24 PM it shows 1624 (or 4:24 PM). File name should be PXL_20210525_122414309. Known glitch and/or solution?
